Meet Harry Steinman

Harry Steinman is a husband, grandfather, community volunteer and founder of Foundation Financial. Because of his personal ethics and history, Harry possesses a passion for helping families and he has been doing so for many years.

Harry has a deep commitment to helping retirees and their families. In his professional life, he is an Investment Advisor Representative and the president of Foundation Financial. He is a pioneer in helping families work together to enjoy a successful retirement.

Harry's community service credentials are equally impressive. He is a volunteer with the Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals where he is a dog trainer, and is a frequent visitor to Alzheimer's patients with his therapy dog, Zippy.

Harry is a well-known speaker on senior needs, including the "Aid and Attendance" pension from the Department of Veterans Affairs, asset protection, retirement planning, insurance planning, financial planning, estate planning and nursing home protection. Harry takes a unique approach to financial planning by considering the needs of retiree clients and concerns of their adult children. He calls this process, Generation to Generation PlanningSM. Harry explains, "We care deeply about the family. Parents' concern about money management and leaving a legacy run parallel to their adult children's desire to ensure mom and dad's health and safety. This is where the financial concerns of two generations converge -- an area that many advisors overlook or disregard."

Harry is an Investment Advisor Representative, a designation that indicates a legal and ethical commitment to putting the financial needs of his clients first. He holds insurance licenses in life, accident and health insurance.

After graduating from California State University, Los Angeles, in 1977 with a B.S. in Accounting, he began his career at the "Big Eight" CPA firm of Arthur Andersen. He has continuing education with The American College and enjoys education credentials in Estate Planning, Financial & Insurance Planning and Disability Planning.

Harry lives in Winthrop MA with his wife, Jody, and their two dogs, Zippy and Phoebe. He is an avid cook, crossword puzzle afficianado and supporter of the Boston Symphony Orchestra.
